What to wear in 2010
Here we are, it is 2010, predicted to be "The Year of the Horse", country music and western wear are here and back with a vengeance. Just look at the brand new renovated legendary Ironworks Pike in Lexington Ky. For the first time ever the FEI World Equestrian Games will be held here in the US. With over 600,000 visitors, this 16 day equine extravaganza will bring in people from all over the world.
So what is new in western wear?? Western wear is not just for people riding in the ring, it has come full circle, sculls and crosses are still popular and you will see them all over. Western wear and the lifestyle is about getting back to basics, back to our roots. How many people have you known that have cowboy boots, they just don't go out of style!!!!! EVER!!!!
Women are becoming more picky about the jeans they wear, the right amount of spandex is important, 100% cotton is just not cutting it anymore. Women want their jeans to fit snug, but not cut off their circulation. Embellished pocket backs are still HOT, but simpler pockets are also making a comeback. With this economy, people are looking for a good value and are not as easy to throw away hundreds of dollars on a pair of jeans. That is more of a splurge, we feel better about investing in a great pair of boots that will last for years, and buying several fashion jeans. We need to feel we are getting everything we can for our money in this day and age.
Ruffles are the thing this year. You will see lots of ruffles and flowing fabric this spring. This is paring nicely with great, bright, hot cowboy boots. Boots are your fashion investment, good ones last forever and never really go out of style no matter how flashy they are. You can never have to many either. Check out Rusty Spurs Corral Boot and Old Gringo boot collection, and believe me there are new and great ones coming in all throughout the year. Even a pair of purple distressed boots. How cute is that going to be with a short skirt or dress in purple, which is the color for spring. Because they are distressed, they will go with any shade of purple as well.
Lots of new purses coming in for spring also. Bling is still the name of the game, but for those more discriminating women who are looking for something substantial and lasting, take a look at our Hyde bags, these are classic and made so well, they will last long enough to pass on to your grand kids.
The real showstopper will be the bags coming in from Phitheon Designs. They are slated to be at Rusty Spur in the fall. You will see these bags on all the stars, There is even a "Michelle" bag made out of the most luscious, soft Italian leather you have ever felt. The Michelle bag will be bright, colorful and functional. They will be Hot and hard to get, so keep your eyes pealed for them. Also, a part of the proceeds will go to a scolarship for single women who want to go to college, but cant afford the things that school loans don't pay for.
This is an exciting year, and The Rusty Spur Couture is here to help you find cool, unique and great fashon for all women and men!!! And, dont forget the horses!!!
